The wax and oils will slowly melt and combine. Don't cover with a lid while heating, as it will create condensation, which can ruin the salve. It's ok if condensation gathers on the outside.

This salve is quite thick. It works great on extremely dry and rough skin. Though it might feel a little greasy right when you apply it, it sinks into the skin beautifully!

Try argon oil for the beard. I have used the shampoo & cream rinse for a while now. Before my husband died - he was on a lot of meds that made his beard dry. Argon oil - problem solved...

Hi, great guide! I am currently using a couple of different products for my goatee, which can tend to be dry. One of the products contains beeswax and works great. I was curious which one of your products you would recommend? Also which essential oil would be nice for a manly scent? Thanks again!

Lavendar essential oil isn't just a soothing antiseptic - It is the essential oil of choice for mid-wives - as it is so pure it can be poured directly on an opened wound - or directly on a burn.

@erica yes! You certainly could use tea tree oil. It would smell great, and be wonderful relief from itchy skin, insect bites, etc.

@peter Thanks! I am not sure this will do anything to eliminate acne. However, if your skin was super dry from acne treatment products, this would be good to use as a moisturizer.

Bees are true artists! My Inlaws are bee farmers in there older ages. And everything about them is so special and brilliant! Also honey never spoils and anything they produce is good for your body everyday(Honey, wax, royal jelly). I love this!
