This is an awesome, cheap idea for any stay at home mom needing a fun daytime activity! Thank you so much for this! My daughter will love making AND playing with her paint! I'm using baby food jars to store mine, and will probably 1/2 or 1/4 your recipe since my daughter loves to create LOTS of new colors! Lol :D

We use shaving cream and tempura paint and it also works well. A little lighter.

Ooh dear me!!! I know the airline will not allow me to bring the paint with me... But, when I fly out to see my darling granddaughter who just turned 2 in March, we'll make this together! Mum and daddy can clean up afterwards! Wish we became grandparents FIRST!!!! Lol!!! Thanks for this!!! Cornstarch and of course flour when 'wet' and not mixed quite thoroughly will be like trying to deal with concrete! Never put flour, cornstarch in the sink!!! It messes up the pipes with its gunk... So mix super well making sure there's no clumps. HTH's.

I used the shampoo/bath wash because that's what we had on hand. The only requirement is that it's tear free, because the kids will be using it. :) as for leaving stains, I haven't had any problems with it leaving stains or residue. (you just have to rinse well). Hope this helps;)

I noticed you used shampoo/Bath wash. Does it make any difference? Consistency? Does this rinse off well? Leave stains? What happens when it gets under nails or in hair? Thank you for a good, cheap idea.

My daughters LOOOOOOOVE bath tub paint! I usually buy a bunch of this in the store and they end up looking like they were doing some sort of tribal Indian bath or something! Hahaha I love this it's so simple!

Karma Scapillato

Yeah I don't see why it would give someone a rash the ingredients are so simple!

Karma Scapillato last year

Danika LoCicero

We have used this before, and it works great! Lots of fun! The only reason they would get a rash, is if they don't wash it off after use. :)

I think it's a great idea, and not sure I understand the problem. Baby soap is good enough for babies and back in the day they used cornstarch on babies butts to help prevent diaper rash and food coloring ... If yr worried use less. I'll be trying it and if my grandson gets a rash I promise to report back : )

@ kat and daniel bathtub paint is paint that doesnt stain your bath and kids Can play with it and paint themselves !!

Dawn Anderson

This is a cute idea. I think that the question about the rash would refer to using food colors. Here is a link on the toxicity of artificial food colors. http://conscioushealthnaturaltherapy.weebly.com/dangers-of-toxic-food-dyes.html
