Coffee is very generic, I think Yume means Arabic coffee granules, which are lightly roasted and already mixed with cardamom. It should have a light yellowish-greenish color to it, and we never boil it, we just heat it untill it is very very steamy and just under the boiling point. Also, do not be confused with Turkish/lebanese coffee, it's not the same thing, delicioys but very different flavors!

It's ok ;) I'm glad for this guide it made me look it up. Sometimes it doesn't occur to me to look up something related to my culture bcoz I take it for granted.

By instant you mean Nescafé or some thing like it? If so, the answer is definitely no. I'm an Arab, I don't really prepare it but I have an idea. Also in my country we add another ingredient in addition to the cardamom but I'm not sure what's it called in English :/

Also when I go to the coffee and spice store and ask for coffee they'll ask me if I want Turkish or Arabic coffee.
