Dear Kelsey. You can omit the yeast and just let the natural yeast do the work, the process will take longer, that is all.

Kelsey Darian

Is there an alternative for yeast?

Kelsey Darian last month

Dear Vicki. At the bottom of every page there is a tab called supplies, pull it up and you will see the amount of everything you need to make this.

Dear Melinda thank you for your kind words. I'm looking forward to hear how it works out on Bali. The ants in the basement quickly relocated after I used the lemon pulp by smearing it on the wall where they came in. Welcome to snapguide you will become a snappie before you know it. 😄

Hi Karen, just found Snapguide 2 nights ago and already loving it! Can't wait to make your lemon cleaner... Will let you know how it works in the tropics (Bali) as a cleaner and especially curious if we can be rid of most of the busy ants here! Thank you for sharing your amazing ideas 😃

Dear nephew 😄sounds as an excellent idea. Try it and let me know how it goes. The liquid has antibacterial properties so adding the lemon balm may make it even more sanitising.

Heyyyyy Auntieee ;) I just thought of something, I have Lemon Balm mint growing in my back yard. Lemon balm has an antibacterial property to it also. So usually people add the Lemon balm in vinegar to clean. What if you were to mix the crushed lemon balm in with this mixture also?!

Dear Terri one of my guides is a list of measurements in both European measurements and American. I can't figure it out in my head ( math and I are not on friendly terms) so I made a list.

You are Brilliant as well as being a Genius and you are a walking conversion table all rolled into one KAREN. LOL just me. t

Terri Dahlgren 9 months ago

Karen Larard

Dear Terri you dilute 1:10 or 1:20 that means 1 unit of lemon liquid and 10 units of water or 1 unit of lemon liquid and 20 units of water. In other words if you have 1 oz lemon liquid you dilute with 10 oz water or 1 oz lemon liquid diluted with 20 oz water.

(author) 9 months ago

Terri Dahlgren

OK Karen, it's been 14 days and I'm ready to go on to the next step. However, I'm not sure of the amount of my lemon liquid to the amount of water? Can you help me. Ounces or cups would be good, or I can get a conversion table. LOL

I certainly will!

Dear Lefty I don't know how long it will store, I use it so much that I always have one in the making. I will make an experiment and store an undiluted bottle and see after a month and then again after two. Let me know what you think once you tried it.

(author) 9 months ago

Lefty Ridgeway

Thanks Karen. In your experience how long does it store for before it's quality is affected. I will store mine in dark cupboard.

Lefty Ridgeway 9 months ago

Karen Larard

Dear Lefty I have mine in spray bottles in various dilutions and store it in my cupboard. I have some undiluted that I dilute according to the job at hand. If this does not answer your question please ask again.

(author) 9 months ago

Lefty Ridgeway

Dear Karen, I have just made the lemon cleaner, your guide states once you strain the liquid, to dilute it with 1 litre water and on next page suggests dilution strengths depending on used. Do you not store it undulated and then dilute according to where you use it? Also how do you store it? Should it be stored in cupboard or fridge? Can't wait to start using it!!!

Dear Maha I think you mis read I use baking powder not baking soda, so yes try baking powder. If your hair is still dry after trying, then no harm done just go back to what you normal use. Thanks for your update in the lemon cleaner. It still amazes me. I just used the drain cleaner against ants and no more ants. 😄 I have watered my tomatoes with the water left over from washing my floors and they are growing like weed

I use only vinegar in my toilet nothing else. And my "all purpose " strong in the outside of the toilet. My kitchen sink and chopping boards I do with baking soda and peroxide. I made a guide on this. I use baking baking powder to wash my hair, I mix a spoon full of baking powder with 500 ml water and spray on to my roots and massage it a bit, rinse with water and I'm done. My hair shines and my curls are more " full " this is some of the things I use hope it helps or ask again.

Dear Erin. Thank you for your kind words. It is a wonderful feeling to make your own non-toxic cleaning detergent. Just remember that if you have chloride in your water, to use bottled water, because the chloride will kill the yeast. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

Heidi Feldman 12 months ago

Karen Larard

I don't think the diluted version will harm you. But the concentrate well I don't know. The yeast do not rise here it eats the sugar and transforms the sugar to alcohol. Yeast is a fungus and if you eat it gets killed by your stomach acid so by the time it reaches your intestine it no longer yeast its deceased yeast😄

(author) 12 months ago

Amanda Greensworth

Is it drinkable? I mean has the yeast "risen" or whatever so that it's safe? If it hasn't, it will rise in your intestines and cause big time, "must go to the ER" problems.

Amanda Greensworth 12 months ago

Karen Larard

So true.😝 haven't tasted it and I don't think I will, maybe I'll serve it to my husband and then see what happens😄
