Step 2 of 10
Using a pair of pliers to hold the toothpick, place the toothpick with a 1/4 inch showing to poke into the wine cork.

Step 3 of 10
I found it easier to twist the cork into the toothpick . You will break a lot of toothpicks, but use the method that is easiest for you.

Step 7 of 10
Once the outer ring is complete, start filling in the corks in the inside. There is no certain way to fill. I filled so none of the white styrofoam isn't showing.

Thanks Cori! I didn't use any glue. It looks in tacked (so far) I'm guessing it depends how far the toothpick is in the foam and the cork. But good to know about the straw wreath! πŸ‘πŸ˜„

You can also use a straw wreath. I found that my toothpicks fell out of the styrofoam wreath unless I glued them. With straw you don't need any glue at all.

I love wine, but I am nowhere near this many corks. :( I'm thinking of asking friends to save their corks and give them to me so I can make this sooner. :)
