I folded the edges of the crust first, and then transferred it to the pan. But the good thing about this recipe is that if you don't have a pan, you can avoid this step and just bake it on a flat tray!

At what point did the pastry get transferred to the pan? It was flat when you filled it but in a pan when it was cooked.
