Don't forget to wash the ginger, cleanliness is next to godliness lol. Ok you can either slice the ginger or mush it slightly with a pestle and mortar (or use the end of a rolling pin).

@Oh Snap Snap: If you like tea, follow this recipe but instead of adding water, just add black tea. And, of course, use honey instead of sugar.

Yep, an old remedy used by Indians too. The lemon also has lots of vitamin C. By the way, this should be had at lukewarm temperature, not when it is hot. Thanks for this guide.

Oh Snap Snap

I have a bad case of sore throat. I bought a throat numbing spray from the pharmacy yesterday and it's gross! I'm going to make this. How often can I drink this? I've been drinking chai tea thinking the spices would be beneficial but my throat actually feels more irritated.

Aris yes it does work, the lemon gets rid of mucus, ginger clings to the sides of the throat to provide temporary relief and garlic goes on to Kill the bacteria , remember to have more than one cup.

Hi it taste good due to the honey and lemon. The garlic has a neutraliser called allcin which Kills the bacteria in the throat,The other ingredients sooth the area. Try it, it's an old recipe from various countries such as the carribbean.
