Sparkling water might work (to give it a little spritz). It can be a little tangy, zesty by itself. With a lot of ice, it's a nice way to cool off during a hot day. :)

I don't see why you cannot use alcohol. You just won't get the effect of the cocktail. Try it and let me know how it is. :)
