Fresh sardines can seem unmanageable. But don't forget that is always better to cook fish right off the ocean.

Great guide as always, nice combination of colours and flavours 😊 My favourite 5 min meal is a salad of tomatoes, cucumber, peppers and green onions, lettuce, olives too if i have it, a vinegrette dressing (balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt & pepper, if you like them, garlic and herbs too). Now comes the best part: I like adding chopped salami and cubed or crumbled feta cheese. You can add anything you like: hard boiled eggs, chickpeas, tuna, beetroot, carrots, frankfurters, mushrooms, cooked bacon, sweetcorn, anything that "tickles your fancy" and makes the salad more filling. The combinations are endless. Don't forget to have some bread ready, I normally have some with the salad and mop the juices with it, it's delicious and so healthy!!! Bon appétit! 🍴👌

Potato soup=cold weather genius! Def gonna try this. I have another......... Leftover corn on the Cobb, kernels sliced off, cherry tomatoes chopped in half, half an avocado chopped. 1/4 to 1/2 chopped jalapeño, 1 mango, copped, healthy handful of cilantro and 1/4 hand parsley chopped, salt and pepper, stir up. Juice a lime, 1-2 tsp cumin, 1/4 of cup of olive oil, generous blob of honey Shake that in jar (the vinegarette) then pour it onto salad/salsa the stir again. I like to grill fish then pour this all over it. Yum!! It bursts summer itself

Looks fab - and healthy for such quick snack. My 5min meal is cheese and onion potato soup! Boil potatoes till soft and drain all but a cup full of water. Fry onions, season and add potatoes. Grate cheddar cheese over the top and then add a splash of milk and butter. Stir thoroughly till cheese melts and eat. V more ish..

Love the guide! Thank you. My fav 5 min meal is a sandwich: roasted red peppers, avocado, romaine, tomato, sprouts, grated carrot on a hearty bread. My son dubbed this a 'Rabbit Sandwich' when he was a little child, and we still call it by that name.

While not glamorous, my favorite 5 minute meal is probably huevos rancheros. Tortilla, beans (black or refried), an egg, and cheese with some salsa on top. I add avocado and cilantro if i have it!

Pita w hummus, green olives, roasted red peppers, canned artichokes, couple of sun dried tomatoes...... Smear hummus on pita, chop up the canned ingredients and artfully arrange on hummus. Sprinkle feta over top pop in toaster oven for a toast cycle. And youre done! I like to spritz mine w sirrichi (hot) sauce. Cheap easy delicious healthy !
