Assemble the ingredients.
In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in lukewarm water. Rest until foamy, about 15 minutes.
Mix flour and salt in a large bowl.
Add olive oil to yeast mixture.
Knead on a floured board until smooth and elastic. This takes about five minutes.
Pat dough into a ball. Put the dough into a large bowl.
Cover the dough with a clean dish towel and let it rest for about an hour until doubled.
When the dough has doubled, punch it down and divide it into two parts.
Roll out the dough to a twelve-inch circle. The remaining dough can be frozen for up to one month.
Put the dough in a pizza pan.
Place in a 425 degree oven and bake for 12 -15 minutes or until crust is brown.
Remove the pizza from the oven and enjoy.
