Out of an empty peanut butter jar create a simple bird feeder that attracts all kinds of finches!

Get all of your things together. The lid of my jar had a hole in it so...

I hot glued on pieces of plastic to the front and back

Put the jar in a vise grip and mark where you want your holes to go. The bottom one is the larger one for the dowel to go through and the smaller for birds to get the seeds from.

Use something sharp to poke the small hole.

And then drill the big hole.

The holes should be about 1 1/2" apart.

IMPORTANT! Only drill holes in the front half of the jar. The feeder will be against the place you hang it. If you create a handle on top of the lid instead of hanging the way I did, drill all around.

Put all of the dowels through the feeder. If your holes are parallel you can put the dowel right through. If not, put the dowel to the back of the jar and glue it.

I put some holes close to the bottom so I glued the dowels onto the bottom.

Now shape a piece of wire like I have here. Glue it onto the back right in the centre. If you want you can instead make it a handle and glue it to the top to hang off a chain.
