That is probably a regional thing. I checked other guides and recipes that do not call for bitters. Not saying it can't be added, though. :)

How would you make an "alcohol free" or virgin Mojito?

The only replacement I can think if for the soda water is Sprite (still carbonated). You may want to try using regular water OR I have heard of people using Margarita mix (which I don't recommend because it will completely change the taste). You may want to use soda water, but maybe shake it up a little so that the carbonation isn't as crisp. You know, flatten it out. Just a thought.

I purchased my muddler at a local liquor store...but I know there are many places that sell them online. :)

I've never heard of a 'muddler' before. We aren't drinkers. But boy I'll tell ya, Mojito drinks is wonderful! The ones I drink don't have any of the sparkling carbonated stuff. I cannot even drink soda, champagne... Any fizzies, and bubbly's... Any other suggestions I can use besides the fizzy stuff? Thanks so very much for sharing as this is a nice & light, relaxing as well as a refreshing drink to have at the end of a long day.

Dana, search the web for "Mojitos by the Pitcher"...or something along those lines. There are some sites that cover that exact situation. I hope that helps. Cheers! :)

How would you change these recipes to make them in a jug? For parties where you really can't be bothered making individual ones

I love this drink although I prefer mine a little sweeter. I add 1-2 oz organic limeade and 1-2 tsp agave. Yummy!
