You need a brush, a hair tie and some bobby pins

Start with brushing your hair

I prefer to fix my shorter fronts before I start, do what works best for you

Divide your hair into five strands, try to make them as equal as possible

Step 5 of 8

Here comes the tricky part: Start with 1, put it over 2, and then under 3. Same on the other side: Put 5 over 4, and then under the strand in the middle (strand 1)

Step 6 of 8

Repeat this "over & under" on alternating sides; soon enough you will see your braid forming. Make sure you make it tight.
