How to Make a Cute iPhone Case With an Earphone Pocket🌺
Measure how much felt you'll need for the base of the case. You don't need exact measurements, just leave a little extra space to sew.
Cut a different color felt 1/3 of the way down on your base.
Add another color (sorry its upside down!)
And add another color ☺you can do this as many times as you please. I'm stopping at 3.
Layer the felts on top of each other making sure the nice straight part is on top covering the "ugly" cut lol. Pin them together. (make sure it's the same size as the base when pinned.
Get your needle ready. I used embroidery thread because it's thicker and there are so many cute colors.
Start at the back and poke the needle through the 2 felts
Pull the needle through and poke it back into the 2 felts. Try to make your stitches straight. If you're new to needlework, practice on a piece of felt first!
It should look like this. Doesnt have to be perfect though.
To make the knot, push the needle through a bit of felt...
Pull. And now you have a loop!....
Put the needle THROUGH the loop!!
And pull! I always do this twice to make sure it's secure.
😍
Now for the flower you'll need to cut little pieces like this. Use the first one you make as a stencil to make the other three.
In, out, in, out...
When you're done it should look something like this...
(: and this
Pull the string and tighten the flower! 🌺
Now sew it together (make sure you pull the string almost as much as you can RIGHT before you sew the petals together)
Make that knot I showed you how to make ☺
Here's your flower! So easy!
I made a couple more for decoration.
I'm sewing my button to the flower. Start from the bottom and bring the needle out of one of the 4 holes. Be careful not to poke yourself!
Pull the thread out all the way then through the other hole beside it.
Sew it to the felt. This is going to be my front.
Sew the other flowers wherever you'd like!
Get some Fabric ready ..
Pin it on the back, and put this piece away so we can start on the back.
Cut a rectangle and round the edges at the bottom.
Cut the top if you'd like in a pattern, fold it over and pin it all down. This is going to be your earphone pocket :)
Stitch it normally all around!
Make a little triangle at the top of the fold to hold it down.
Now pin the yellow fabric (inside) and trim it all around the sides.
Now for the cover, cut a piece of felt and stick it in between the inside yellow fabric and outside felt. Pin it in the right spot.
Fold the fabric over where the button is supposed to go and cut a slot.
Pin all the pieces together! Get your needle and thread ready, make sure the thread is super long !!!
So I'll show you how to do the stitch I'm using. Do a normal stitch, in one side out the other, then loop around and bring the needle back out (as seen in the picture.) ...
Now again put the needle through the loop and pull!
Here's your stitch :)
Almost done ! :)
You're all done!!!! 🌺😊
Here's another one I made :)
