put your 1/2 cup of oats into a bowl and cook using the directions on the side of the container
Step 2 of 21
my egg and lemon juice!
Step 3 of 21
1 tsp(:
Step 4 of 21
I just showed the egg and the lemon juice to show what I have.. don't mix it in yet!(:
Step 5 of 21
after your oatmeal is cooked...put it in the fridge to cool. make sure it's cool to the touch and not hot
Step 6 of 21
in the fridge you go!
Step 7 of 21
now, while I'm waiting for my lovely oatmeal to cool.. I'll tell you why the heck these 3 ingredients will help clear acne! next slide>>
Step 8 of 21
The oatmeal has antioxidants that will bring down the swelling, while the acid in the lemon juice will kill the bacteria in your pores! eggs have vitamin E in them which will tighten your skin....>>
Step 9 of 21
so that it appears perfectly smooth! (:
Step 10 of 21
add the egg
Step 11 of 21
stir! once you put the raw egg in...DON'T EAT IT. :)
Step 12 of 21
add lemon juice and stir
Step 13 of 21
put it on your face
Step 14 of 21
^^:P
Step 15 of 21
you can put it in a container and save it in the fridge for about a week. (7days)
Step 16 of 21
I like to make this on Sunday night and use it, then use it every night through out the week and throw it away on Saturday after I use it.
Step 17 of 21
As it dries, your face feels extremely tight! which means it is working:)
Step 18 of 21
wash it off(: when I rub it off with warm water, i rub in circular motions(:
Step 19 of 21
you can have this mask on for not even a whole night, even just a couple hours, and still see a very big difference. everyone's skin is different! but mine is Always soft after(:
Step 20 of 21
enjoy!(::
Step 21 of 21
p.s. since people clearly have a problem with eggs... after you mix the raw egg in, don't eat it. god knows why you would eat your face mask...but don't. k? k.
hi everyone!(: my name is grace and I love painting nails, and taking pictures. I am 15 years old, a sophomore in high school, and a JV cheerleader!(: enjoy!
Sounds great :D thnx for sharing this ^_^ i really wanna try it but I'm kinda worried that the egg smell will be too strong... :/ cause I'm weird and can't really stand the smell of eggs
Hi! I have a question about the egg. I'm a vegan so I don't buy or use eggs so I was wondering if egg substitute would work just as well? Great tutorial by the way!! Very informative :)
I love this idea and tried it for the first time last night. Only thing I didn't like is how after 15 minutes, it all cracked and flaked and was falling all over my clothes. It was kind of gross.
I recently decided I would try it, because my face was peeling after I had a really bad sunburn, I had tried about everything but but it just kept peeling, then I tried this with a bit of brown sugar in it, and it worked WONDERFUL thanks <3
I made it last night and haven't used it yet but does it have to be put back in the fridge after your done using it? And yes you answered my question :)
@malea it doesnt HAVE to be cold..but you store it in the fridge so it should be!(: but when you first make it, it doesn't have to be cold cold, just not hot!(: hope I answered your question! and good luck grace!
it probably wouldn't work AS well, but my first time using it a while back I was worried I did it wrong so I took it off after like 2 hours and already saw a difference. so I guess you could but it wouldn't help as much as keeping it on overnight(:
Great guide and very detailed but I do you think it would be ok to use everyday before the shower and keep it on for the standard face mask time (5-10mins) and then wash it off in the shower? Would it still work as well?
It's said that one out of every twenty thousand eggs has salmonella. That's pretty low. But you need to injest a raw egg in order to get the bacteria into your system, so a face mask wont make you sick unless you eat it afterwards.. which would be kindda weird if you did;) haha, but no! it's only if you eat it(:
