How to Make a Cellphone Charging Caddy

All of us have cellphones that need charging, & often our expensive items end up on the floor when charging where they could be easily damaged. Instead, safely cradle your device close to the outlet.

Begin with a plastic Chinese takeout container, often located in the party supply section of a store. I found mine at a dollar store. Just be sure that it is plastic & big enough to hold your device.

Remove the handle, & unfold the container.

Cut off all but one of the top flaps of the container. (Make sure to leave one remaining that was not slit to close the top.)

Step 5 of 8

Take a circular hole punch or scissors, & cut a hole in the flap that we saved in the previous step. Trim off excess plastic, so that it is similar to the above picture.

Step 6 of 8

Put container back together, & secure with paper fasteners in the holes where the handles were previously attached.

At this point your caddy it complete, & should look something like this.

To use your caddy, place the power adapter through the hole, & plug into power outlet as normal. Your device and extra cable will rest nicely in the caddy. Enjoy!
