Press pie crust into tin or pie pan , bake at 350 for about 10 minutes  Remove from oven & set aside. In large bowl combine sugar & berries. Coat well.  Pour sugared berries into pie tin

I used a cookie cutter to make vents in top crust but you can also just just slits in it with a knife .Place 2nd crust on top and punch egdes. With a pastry brush add egg wash to top .Bake for 45 mins

Be sure to let pie sit for 20-30 minutes before serving to allow filling to thicken.  Simple and great with vanilla ice-cream

3 cups blackberries

1 pk refrigerated pie crust ( 2 count) or homemade

1.5 cups sugar

Pie pan

Egg wash ( 1 egg , beaten with 1 tbsp water)

I toss the berries around in the sugar to coat them . The sugar makes a thicker filling but you could use less sugar
