Step 2 of 30

This guide teaches you how to make a bead-bracelet.

Step 3 of 30

You have to choose an even amount of beads 2, 4, 6, 8 etc. In this guide I've chosen 6 beads. You put your beads on your elastic string (which needs to be long) and with a needle in the end.

Step 4 of 30
Step 5 of 30

Then you put on one more (grey) and pull the needle through the next bead in line (yellow).

Step 6 of 30
Step 7 of 30
Step 8 of 30

Then you put on one more bead (green) and pull trough the next one (purple) and so on until you reach the bottom.

Step 9 of 30
Step 10 of 30

Now the two strings should both be in the last bead (red). Then you put on one red and pull trough the next one (pink). Make sure the string is tight!

Step 11 of 30

Now you just keep going up and down in the same system. One bead and pull trough the next one!

Step 12 of 30
Step 13 of 30

If you run out of string, simply just make a knot and add some more string...

Step 14 of 30
Step 15 of 30

Measure your bracelet on your arm to make sure when you're done .. Now look at the ends.. They need to 'fit' together..

Step 16 of 30
Step 17 of 30

Now, just pull the needle trough every other bead so you 'sow' them together ..

Step 18 of 30
Step 19 of 30

Pull the needle up and down trough the beads in your bracelet to secure it. Try if you can end the string in the same bead as the other one. Then tie a knot..

Step 20 of 30
Step 21 of 30

Then cut of the strings..

Step 22 of 30
Step 23 of 30

And voila!! You are done! I hope you could use this guide .. If you have any questions, feel free to ask :)

Step 24 of 30
Step 25 of 30

You can make a lot of things, using this method, rings, bracelets etc.. You can use any color and almost any shape. Good luck!

How do you know how much string you need? And do you do the same steps with regular beads?

love these - I've done them with diagonal stripes - crosses diamonds - I like to work these in rings instead of flat that way you get a scalloped edge
