Erin, yes it does. U don't want to put them to far apart because it will loose the effect. The closer u put them the sharper the image looks. Hope this helps!

So do you add a bit of an upper curve to the lines inside the design to make it look like its 3d or is it just straight? I'm a bit lost.

Okay.. Step 1: draw with a pencil around your hand. Step 2: take a tusch and draw lines over your "hand sketch" and make some more lines with colours if you want.
