Pamela: As long as you take care of the scoby and keep it healthy it will be yours forever. Also, after each brew your friend grows a brand new friend that you can keep as a back up or give to friends to make their own kombucha

Taylor: after the kombucha is brewed it will have a carbonated light vinegar taste to it. If not used to it you will be surprised by it. But then comes the best part. You can flavor your kombucha however you want. I am goin to do another tutorial once my brew is done to show how to bottle and flavor. The possibilities for flavor are endless. I dont know of you live near any health stores but you can pick up a kombucha and try it out

Do you reuse the scoby, or start with a new one each time?

This is a scoby or symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast. It what makes kombucha kombucha! It makes the tea ferment. Check out my blog for more info.
