Step 1 of 11

Sometimes I don't want to play fetch with my dog, so I do this instead. And he loves it!

Step 2 of 11

At my house, we drink a lot of Pepsi, so I never seem to run out of boxes. This is an easy, inexpensive way to keep your dog entertained.

Step 3 of 11
You'll need a tennis ball and a soda box.

Step 7 of 11

Let your dog know he can get it and prepare to be entertained.

Maybe help him out, and in no time, he'll have the ball right at your feet!

Step 10 of 11

I think this is really funny to watch. It's kind of like a kong toy, and you can watch your dog discover new ways to get the ball.

Step 11 of 11

Since the cardboard is destroyed easily, I suggest having several on hand :)

Try putting chicken or treats in a plastic bottle, it's up you if you leave the lid on or not, the dog will eventually destroy the lid and then start crushing the bottle to get to the food, the more the bottle gets crushed the harder it is to get the food out so then they have to destroy the bottle to get it. They may get lucky and tip it upside down early on and get their treat but it will take several goes before they work this out and remember it. Do this when listening to music or something as the noise can become annoying

We have a golden retriever and a little shihtzu-poodle mix. We drink a lot of soda and water in plastic bottles and the empty ones are the perfect toys for them. The golden likes to chew the tops off and the little one likes to get all the labels off. It cute to watch them share them and keeps them entertained.

This is a perfect idea! My little guy makes me play fetch for like an hour every night. This happens when I'm trying to watch TV. I drink lots of Pepsi, I will give this a try. Thanks!

He's already well trained and knows what and what not he is allowed to play with. But if your dog doesn't know the difference, then maybe this guide just isn't for you :)

Not sure if teaching your dog to rip up stuff is a good idea.

I have two cats and they enjoy the laser pointer, but I cannot ever get the dogs to chase it!

That is so cute!! We have a yellow lab and his name is Tahoe. For hours of endless entertainment with little effort on our part, we just take a laser pen or pointer and he will chase it for hours!!
