@Michelle King - must transfer to soil so it gets the nutrients it needs.

Do you have to transfer to soil? Can it continue growing in water?

I grew one in Puerto Rico once it grew amazingly well but we moved and rented the house the people living there must have cut it out of the ground but it was fun so I'll do this over here. Thanks a lot. :)

Yes they can but must be brought inside once it gets cold because the plant will go in dormant stage and stunt growth. They need full sun.

@ Maxine - I put on water about 5-7 days and it's showing root grows. I'll update this with pictures of ones that are barely starting.

Does the plant need to be in a place with ample sunlight? Or will minimal sunlight suffice?

I knew about doing this with soil. But I like this better since I'll be able to see the roots form. In soil I dont know what's going on in there! lol so thanks for this.

Step 3 can also be done with soil, it just needs to be watered daily. Thanks for looking.
