How to Get Wavy Hair With No Heat

Just a little technique many use to obtain wavy hair, but I have found this works well for me when I want a little wave :)

Step 1 of 12

So I usually do this with my hair dry because i like the results on my hair best, but wet works too! It will just take longer to dry of course :)

Step 2 of 12

All you need is this!

Step 3 of 12

Hold your hair in a pony tail

Step 4 of 12

And twist to the ends. I take my hair and keep twisting it up wards, then bring it forward like so

Step 5 of 12

Start circling it around into a bun from the forward position

Step 6 of 12

Secure with hair tie!

Step 7 of 12

Step 8 of 12

The tighter you twist it, the more wavy it is. And the tighter it is, the less time it needs to stay in a bun.

You can wear it to sleep or even just an hour! Usually when I wear it tightly twisted for an hour I get these results :)

NEW: After doing the bun dry, I slept in it over night and flipped my hair a couple times and this is the result. Noticeably wavier than the photo before!

Hmm, haven't tried that. You could try it though! I think as long as they are 2 tight buns, it would probably turn out nice :) maybe just wavier! Let me know if you try 2!

I'm gonna try this. I used to wear my hair down but lately I've been wearing it up. I just think my hair would look dull down. So hopefully this will make my hair curly and I'll be able to wear it down. Thanks for the trick.

Anna! I used to do this when I was a teen :) but now I'm waiting my hair to grow a little bit more... I used to see a lasting result when I did 2 ponytails and look like princess Leia hahah... On my on dump hair and keeping it up as longer as I could (I wear that to my Prom :)

Anything goes! I do mine just dry most of the time. In step 11 that was just for about an hour in a bun with dry hair, and the last step that was in a bun overnight with dry hair.

Eunice, it depends on a few factors: if you want to use hairspray or not, how tight the twist&long you leave it in, if you wear it to sleep, or if the hair is wet. Things like that. You can play around with different things to see what works best with your hair :)

You can try! Only way you will know :) maybe try adding a little bit of holding product before you twist? And make sure to keep it in the bun for longer :) hope it works!!
