Welcome to the wonderful world of horse showing!! If you didn't read the supplies, I recommend doing so..

First things first.. You will be needing a horse.. Whoa!! I know, who would of thought that you would need a horse for horse showing.. CRAZY!

I've been riding since I was 5, showing since I was 8, and giving lessons since I was 16.. I have a fairly good Idea of what I'm doing...

Money...you need money... A lot... $$$$$$$$

There is 3 main types of showing. Saddle seat, hunt seat, and western... Either way, you're screwed with cost..

You need saddles, bridles, hoof oil, bits, brushes, first aid,money, someone who knows what they're doing, money, money, pens, paper, money...

First you need boots.. Paddock boots ( short ones) if you're under the age of 8. Tall boots if over. Price range: 20-600 dollars...

Hunt seat: Breeches, color: olive, brown or a shade if tan. $20-50ish. For dressage you need white.

Western: the ever so lovely plaid shirt, so cheap! 20, 30 bucks tops.. Now you can go all doped up with sequin shirts, but im trying to give you the cheapest way out.

I don't own my own saddle seat clothes.. You can borrow clothes from other people, if you so choose..but you can only do that for so long.

You need a hair box.. It's a pain in ze azz to do your hair sometimes..

This is a simpler hair net, I braid my hair and them put it in, but you basically could just put if in a bun and go.

You need a trailer and a truck/SUV.. Price range: a lot!! 1000-30,000+ probably more than that..

If you ride hunt seat, you need to know how to braid.. You can find videos on YouTube.. Running braid, button braid, and tail braid.. Just an FYI.. Button braids are a pain in the butt!

Its actually pretty big in Canada (one thing we're good at!) but not anything like the UK! Thank you! Yours is too! Western is kinda boring, it's sooooo slow! But you get to look all snazzy!

I didn't know dressage and ridden showing was big anywhere but here (UK)! Your horses are gorgeous! Also love your cowboy boots. Wish we could ride western over here!

Aren't you forgetting about Dressage??? It's It's one of the equestrian disciplines practiced inOlympics. I don't recall seeing any Saddlebreds there...!
