Open the half you just folded up and create creases to form a triangle as shown in the next video.
Step 5 of 19
Step 6 of 19
Flip the bill over and do the same for the other side.
Step 7 of 19
Next we will invert the folds as shown in the next video.
Step 8 of 19
Invert the folds
Step 9 of 19
You should now have this.
Step 10 of 19
fold the end of the bill up over the triangular center section keeping the crease as close to the triangle as possible.
Step 11 of 19
You should now have this.
Step 12 of 19
Flip the bill over and do the same to the other side.
Step 13 of 19
Almost there.. Now for the fun part.
Step 14 of 19
Start with an inside corner (not the edge of the bill) and fold it down as shown.
Step 15 of 19
Repeat fold on the other corner then flip your bill and do the same to the other side.
Step 16 of 19
All done.. Let's open it up.
Step 17 of 19
Slip your thumbs in the center area like the photo above. Use your fingers to hold the folds you just made in the previous steps in place as you open. This can be a trick with new crispy bills.
Step 18 of 19
The last step as a video, as requested. To get the bill to open correctly you can imagine a hinge at the tip of the triangle (back of the bow tie). As you open you want to keep this section together.
There should be a small hole in the back where the triangles meet. It's not tied down, per se, but if your bill is crispy and folds are tight it should stay put no problem.
