Sometimes the hp touchpad's sound suddenly becomes tinny. This will happen occasionally and is not an uncommon problem. Don't panic.
Step 2 of 4
While the tinny sound is playing. Short press the power button and the screen will go black.
Step 3 of 4
Wait until the tinny sound becomes normal then short press the power button and unlock your device.

Problem solved! Works for me everytime!
