Have two people put on safety goggles and have one person hold a videotaping device so that you get the whole measuring tape in the video

Set one bottle of room temperature Diet Coke on the "launch spot"

Check to make sure the pin and cuff are in the right place (through the holes, and resting on the pin) and that the tube is dry

Using a paper towel, slide five Mint Mentos into the geyser tube horizontally. Try to touch them as little as possible

Have the other person with safety goggles put the short end (part nearest to pin) into top of the open Diet Coke as quickly as possible

Have one person with goggles walk into Zone of Death and open the Diet Coke, as soon as it is open, start counting to thirty, place cap away from bottle

Turn the red part of the geyser clockwise so that it screws on snugly

Hold string so that the pin and string make a straight line without pulling it out, have videotaped start recording

Pull on the string as soon as the counter gets to 30 and leave Zone of Death wuickly

When the geyser has finished erupting, one lab member with safety goggles on, picks up bottle of Diet Coke

One person with safety goggles, take Diet Coke out of Zone of Death, screw red part until geyser comes off and set it aside. Pour anything in the bottle into the area your instructor specified

Recycle the Diet Coke and caps in the recycling bin

Rinse tube out and slide it on drying rack

Repeat steps 1-14 once again

Repeat steps 1-14 twice but with Cinnamon Mentos

Repeat steps 1-14 twice but with Green Apple Mentos

Repeat steps 1-14 twice but with Strawberry Mentos
