How to Do Paper Quilling

Step 1 of 13

Gather all the equipment .

Thats what a Quilling needle looks like...

Step 3 of 13

Take a strip of paper and put its end into the slot of the quilling needle. Now rotate the needle so as to make a coil.

Step 4 of 13

This is what it will look like after making about 2-3 coils. Keep rotating until you reach the end of the paper. Now hold the coil firmly and pull it out.

Step 5 of 13

Your coil should look like this by now.

Step 6 of 13

Apply a little glue to the end of the coil and stick it to get a circular coil.

Step 7 of 13

On sticking it looks like this

Step 8 of 13

Pinch it to get a teardrop shape.

Step 9 of 13

Pinch it twice to get a leaf shape...

Step 10 of 13

Or 4 times to get a square .

Step 11 of 13

These are a few shapes you could try .

Step 12 of 13

Put together different shapes and colours to make a design .

Step 13 of 13

What if you do not have the quilling needle is there anything else you can use .. Or maybe buy one ?? Thanks and they are so pretty can prob put one one a card for bday or special occasions! :)))

I think you should get the needle at any stationary shop...you can also get ready made coloured strips of paper
