You will need two hair ties...

Lots of bobby pins...

LOTS of hair spray... Aqua net is the best...

A hand-held mirror so you can see the back of your head (assuming you are doing this hairstyle to yourself...)

A brush and something to part your hair with.

First, create an even part down the center of your scalp. It's hard to tell by the picture but you want it to go all the way to the base of your scalp on your neckline.

This guide assumes you know how to French braid already. French braid both sides of your head into two long braids.

Braid them as long as you can. It doesn't matter if they are a little messy.

Secure with small hair ties.

So far it should look like this.

Spray with lots of hair spray. Not just the top of your head but also the long braids. Hair spray is the key to making your hair stay in place.

Next, cross the braids in the back.

Twist them up around your head to where they cross on top.

Like so (on both sides.)

They should cross on top of your head.

Secure on top with bobby pins (you'll want several going cross-ways.)

Tuck the ends of the braids underneath each other and secure with more bobby pins so that they are concealed. Add bobby pins along the sides of the crown to make the hairstyle more secure.

Add a very generous amount of hairspray!!!! Then you can decorate the hairstyle by adding a headband if you want or flowers... whatever you like.
