How to Deal With Bullies

Step 1 of 17

Almost everyone has been bullied at some point in their life. They may be bullied for many different reasons, in many different was.

Step 2 of 17

If you are being bullied on the interenet, through social sites such as Facebook, if you feel confident enough, tell an adult. Print of the harmfull messages or pictures, as proof.

Step 3 of 17

If you are being physically abused by your bullies, then it is extremely important to get help. You could ask a group of friends to help you, or an adult.

Step 4 of 17

Of the physical abuse is happening at school, tell a teacher. Most schools have anti-bullying policies, and will sort the problem out.

Step 5 of 17

If you think that your life, or someone else's is in danger, you must recieve or get help. Nobody should have to dread walking to school, or fear for their life getting a bus.

Step 6 of 17

Sometimes bullies use verbal abuse to bully people. Depending on the type of person you are, it can sometimes help if you face the bully, and say something like: 'I don't care'. Be careful though.

Step 7 of 17

Sometime it is not best to confront the bully, because you could be in danger. Having a group of friends around you can help.

Step 8 of 17

If this only aggravates the bully more, then again, you must tell a teacher, or a parent. Most schools will put a stop to it.

Step 9 of 17

Another form of bullying is phycological (sorry I cannot spell!) bullying. This could involve the bully turning people (such as a class) against you, by spreading lies.etc.

Step 10 of 17

This form of bullying can be the hardest to deal with. If almost everybody is against you, it can be hard to find somebody to turn too. Speak to a guidance counsellor if there is no one left.

Step 11 of 17

Sometimes the counsellor or another trusted person can speak to however is doing the bullying, and get him/her to stop. This might not work though.

Step 12 of 17

After that you should then tell a teacher at your school so that they can deal with the situation (if your school has a suitable anti-bullying policy)

Step 13 of 17

It none of the above methods work, for whatever reason, the best thing to do is too show the bully that you are not upset by them (even if you are).

Step 14 of 17

A way to do this can be ignoring the bully to the point that they will get bored, or facing the bully an asking them why do you bully me?

Step 15 of 17

Most Bullies are cowards, and If they are not getting the desired effect, they will stop bullying you.

Step 16 of 17
