How to Curl Your Hair With a Straightener

Step 1 of 18

Grab you straightener and put it on high

Step 2 of 18

Brush through your hair

Step 3 of 18

Take a layer of your hair to leave down, but if you dont have layers.. Take a small part of your to leave down

Put the rest of your hair on the top of your head.. Like this

Step 5 of 18

Grab a small section of your hair that you left down

Step 6 of 18

Straighten the piece of hair so your hair is hot (this helps it curl better)

Step 7 of 18

Put the flat iron a inch or two away from you head

Step 8 of 18

Take the rest of our hair and put it around the flat iron

Step 9 of 18

Then twist the flat iron so the end of your hair is pointing away from you then slowly pull the flat iron down

I would also like to say that my hair does not curl at all! It is naturally straight and difficult to work with.. So this is the only way my hair will curl

Keep curling:)

Once you get to the back of you hair just split your hair in half

Then you can do the back of your hair as a side piece :D

But dont do to much hair or do the process to fast.. Otherwise your hair will look like this

But you can fix it :))

Once you are done curling a piece of your hair.. Twist it to have a better and tighter curl

I curl my hair the same way, except I don't actually wrap my hair around the flat iron like you did. I just twist the flat iron a little bit and pull down, it works great and is a lot faster. And if you don't want really tight curls, you can just pull down a little faster and it gives you a looser curl. :)
