Wait for the two coats to dry REALLY well, you don't want the scotch tape to peel the colour off later

Take a bit of the scotch tape and blot some of the glue off on your hand

Apply it in the direction you want on the nail, press the edges well. Paint a THIN coat of the other colour (this is why you want the second colour to be darker) give it a second to dry

Quickly rip the tape off and you'll be left with your design

Note: If you paint your second colour on too thick, when you take off the tape the colour will run and bleed and you will not have a clean line so make sure you paint a thin coat :)

You also want to take off the tape as soon as possible, allowing the nail polish that's left on the tape to dry too much will result in a bumpy line when tape is removed
