How to Create a Chalkboard Table

Make your own chalkboard paint using any color paint you like

Mix in small quantities as it dries quickly. Mix 1 cup of paint with 2 tablespoons of grout

Step 5 of 9

Mix together until there are no clumps and apply. Do this step as swiftly as possible because the grout dries quickly. If you need more repeat process and make a new batch.

Step 6 of 9

Step 7 of 9

Then allow to dry for at least 3-4 hours.

Step 8 of 9

Once dry, you must season your chalkboard surface. Using the side of a piece of chalk...rub the entire surface and then wipe down. Your surface is now ready to be used!!!!

Step 9 of 9

Create and have fun!!!!

We did our chalkboard menu for our wood fired pizza truck out of a door. Next time we will primer it first and sand a little more . Great idea thanks for sharing.
