A steady and firm grip on the tool and apple is necessary to avoid a crooked slice and possible injury. Once lined up on top of apple, ram it down with force!

Did u twist the gadget after it went thru the end of the apple... Your video didn't get what you were doing in the end.. I am always making apple pies and can't wait to buy a metal pastry scraper..
