How to Cook Super Easy French Baguette Slices

Nothing fancy here, just tasty, fast and easy.

Step 1 of 13

Slice up the baguette like this.

Step 2 of 13

Add the eggs. If you can, use a bowl with a flat bottom.

Step 3 of 13

Add milk, herbs, salt and pepper.

Step 4 of 13

Whisk.

Step 5 of 13

Like so!

Step 6 of 13

Heat up some oil in a frying pan.

Step 7 of 13

Dip the baguette slices in the egg mix...

Step 8 of 13

...and put them in the pan.

Step 9 of 13

Flip 'em.

Step 10 of 13

Keep your creations warm in the oven :)

Repeat 🔃

Step 12 of 13

Serving suggestion; bacon and tomatoes!

The mix I used; red onion, parsley, basil, green garlic, oregano, thyme. 🌿 but you can try any herbs you like! :)

I'd estimate it was 2-4 tablespoons, just poured by eye. You can't go too wrong with it really- just try it out. 🐣

Sounds yummeh, I'll have to try that next time :) what I love about this recipe is that it tastes like it should be unhealthy, but really it's just eggs and milk (I even used low fat) and bread. I gave the bacon to my boyfriend so alls good 😜

This is the same way I make French toast instead I use cinnamon and nutmeg.

I'm not familiar with cups, it sounds like it might be a bit more that what I used, but it's probly fine. If in doubt, just start with less, and add to the mix once you've seen how it turns out.

I used a frozen Italian herb mix with these ingredients: red onion, parsley, basil, green garlic, oregano, thyme. 🌿 I think you can use any herbs you like though :)
