Gather supplies

Lightly brown onions and garlic in pan with vegetable oil

Add the boiling water and red lentils and bring to boil

Add can of chopped tomatoes and bring down heat to a simmer

Once the lentils have begun to soften, add the 3 spices

Once stirred in, add some butter

1 Onion
500 Milliliters Boiling water
2 Tablespoons Vegetable oil
2 Cloves Of garlic
2 Teaspoons Cumin
2 Teaspoons Tumeric
2 Teaspoons Cayenne pepper
1 Pinch Salt
1 Can of chopped tomatoes
1 Teaspoon Butter
