Hey Allina, I definitely will look into it. It's definitely something I'm interested in (breads).. I haven't packed a bread maker in my suitcase but will definitely get stuck into it when I'm back in Perth in a couple of weeks. And sorry to all the backlog of requests, I've definitely not forgotten anyone.. Big hugs from the "Dine with Beauty and the Beast" kitchen.

I'll ask the expert... My mother said you just let it sit on your tongue for some time until the colour of the rock goes white. 2 tablespoons might get you going for days. Lol. But you should grind it for cooking.

Hey, thanks to Ghada all of us regular people reading this guide can use fenugreek in your doughs. Yay! 👏

Alina Alina 4 months ago

Ghada Seblani

Fenugreek is Mahlab. I am really fond of your mom's traditional Lebanese cooking and the great shots you take for the process of cooking.

Wonderful .. Thank you for the confirmation. :)

I found it on Wikipedia--called Mahlab here (US), too, though sometimes spelled differently. It is available from Amazon.

I'm really not sure but we buy it from a Lebanese bakery. Fragrance similar to coriander seed.
