Here is what I used. You may substitute any if you want. This is definitely not the healthy version but it tastes delish!
Heat up your first skillet to medium high. I followed the cooking directions on the packet which said to cook the sausage for 2 1/2 minutes on both sides. I left it on a little longer.
Heat your 2nd skillet to medium low. Coat with butter (or substitute) so egg wont burn or stick to pan. Crack open egg in pan. Salt&Pepper it to taste. After cooked on one side, flip it over n repeat.
While your sausage & egg are cooking, place your english muffins in a toaster to heat them. I like it to be a little crispy but not too much.
When your sausage is done, place cheese on them while still on the skillet to have the cheese melt on to the patty. Dont leave it on too long. As soon as the cheese starts to melt, it should be ready.
Take the muffins out of the toaster. Remove the patties w/cheese from the skillet and place them on the bottom half of the muffin as pictured.
Finish cooking your eggs and place them on the patties w/cheese. Then place the remaining half of the muffin on top. It should look like this.
There it is! Your very own homemade Sausage, Egg & Cheese McMuffin. Take THAT McDonalds. :)
