I always do this so I can reuse old makeup containers instead of throwing them away!

Dump it into your garbage bag or container.

Pour in some rubbing alcohol.

Swirl around the paper towel to remove most of the residue.

It's not even a shadow, I never used it and wanted to put the container to good use! Plus, it was chalky and not very pigmented.
