Gather your supplies 😃

Line the bowl with foil...

Step 3 of 9

Place jewellery in the bowl on foil ...

Step 4 of 9

Put a layer of bicarbonate of soda over the jewellery.

Step 5 of 9

Pure just enough boiling water over to submerge the jewellery - it will bubble - I then swish the bowl around a bit ..

Step 6 of 9

Rinse under the tap ..

Step 7 of 9

Dry with kitchen roll

Step 8 of 9

Voila - clean shiny silver 😜

No was already scratched - apparently its just a chemical reaction that attracts the dirt to the foil ? obviously this is at your own risk though !

Handy to use foil containers that you get from take away outlets too.

Using SALT works better. Just don't use on any gold coated jewelry or pearls.

Also, you can rub silver with toothpaste and tarnish comes off too!!!

I'd like to add I also did my metal costume jewellery that was dirty / tarnish and had that metallic smell that is gets after time - worked great on it !
