Supplies. I've been liking the dawn mixture (equal parts blue dawn and vinegar) that's all over Pinterest. It does wonders on acrylic surfaces. Also, I devote a separate mop head for this.

The soaker tub. I hate getting inside it to clean it. I'm always worried I'll wipe out when its full of slippery cleaner!

Steal a bit of cleaner thats already on the tub to clean the fixtures and the deck using the clean rag. Can you tell my tub was installed in the early 90's? Its really gotta go!

Orchid, I'm unfamiliar with Fairy.

Will fairy work same?

@ Be, I've tried orange dawn and that works. @Barbara, I wouldn't use this on natural stone. The vinegar will etch it over time and marble is so porous, it will absorb the pigment of the soap and will discolour it permanently.

You say this is good for acrylic. Do you know if it's safe on marble, granite and cultured marble?

Does it NEED to be blue dawn dish soap ?

Thank you! I'm going to attack my gross and grimy shower without the elbow in grease ✌

Hi Laura, 5% acetic acid or higher (likely 7% for pickling vinegar) is used. Heat it first in the microwave until its hot (not boiling) and mix the same amount of blue Dawn dish soap into it. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle to apply it. Mist lightly, a little goes a long way.

I don't use Pinterest, so I'd really appreciate a clarification to the recipe of your cleaning solution. Equal parts blue dawn and vinegar. Any specific kind of vinegar or does white do the trick? There's no water or mixing/shaking involved, right?
