Not responsible for any damage done to your vacuum, yourself, or others. Make sure to remove power source from vacuum.

Remove canister from vacuum and empty.

Remove catch can by pressing button.

Remove 3 screws with screwdriver. Pull up gently to remove handle and rod from cyclone attachment.

Clean handle and rod. Be careful not to break the rod.

Clean this with water hose. Spray inside the openings of the cyclones as well.

Make an alignment mark here to ensure you can put back together properly.   (Note my black sharpie mark).

Gently pull downwards (towards black o-ring) on the fins.

Now slide this piece downward and off.

This is what you are left with. Clean this and all the parts you have already removed. Be careful not to break the piece inside the cylinder it is what the rod from the handle attaches to.

When assembling be sure to guide the rod into that piece inside the cylinder.

Ensure all the pieces are dry. I left mine sit at for the whole day after drying thoroughly.

Assemble by reversing the steps.
