I have to do this all the time for my music because most of it is never on iTunes. I've found that you can also copy a picture and paste it into the artwork section if you don't want to save the pictures. I always search in google, find a cover, right click and hit copy image, then paste it in the artwork section.

Try clicking on "view" (top-right) and selecting "list" or "artist list." If that doesn't work select "songs" at the top and select the "artist" tab (make sure the arrow is facing upward). I hope that helps.

With the new iTunes, some of my Albums Songs are out of order. Is there a way to fix this?

Hi Janice! If you have an iCloud acct. turn on iTunes Match and your entire library can be accessed anytime on your iPad. If you want to connect straight from ur computer, connect your iPad the Mac, and select the iPad tab top right. Then select the music tab. Make sure iTunes Match is turned off or your songs will not appear.

Thanks for another great guide Tim! I downloaded the new iTunes on my Mac. Now, how do I do it on my iPad 2? I don't want all of my library on my iPad. I have 2,400 songs and I think it may take up too much space.

ah ha..yeah, i do use the wave format...it happens on certain albums every song on the albums..id think it would have trouble with rare stuff not available on itunes, but its happening on some real mainstream albums..(Ziggy Stardust, Black Sabbath ect..)what format do you recommend? thanks btw, i appreciate your help..

Timothy Brown

Do you have this problem with every song? If not, check the format of your file. Wav files tend to prevent album cover art from updating

It may have something to with iTunes Match. If you have it on, try turning it off.

On a Mac, you can also simply drag the image into the white box instead of clicking "add." In fact, you don't even have to save the file to your computer; you can drag the image straight from your browser. Also, I don't think iTunes Match needs to be turned off... I was able to access the artwork tab and add an image with it being on. If other info is already in the cloud, adding album artwork shouldn't be a problem.
