Starting today you can explore guides across a variety of popular topics including: Arts & Crafts, Automotive, Beauty, Desserts, Drinks, Food, Games & Tricks, Gardening, Home, Lifestyle, Music, Outdoors, Pets, Photography, Sports & Fitness, Style, and Technology. Update now to get started!
How to Get Started
Launch the app and tap the explore tab, you’ll see a new header called Topics. At the top are editorially selected sets of guides that we’ve put together. Below are a list of general topics, with everything from Gardening to Sports and Fitness. Scroll through and tap on the one that strikes your eye. You’ll be able to see featured, recent and popular guides for each topic!
Topic Search
You now have the option to search for guides in a specific topic. If you navigate into a topic like Food when you perform a search you will only see results for guides in the Food topic. You can still search guides on all Topics on Snapguide but searching within a topic gives you a helpful way to refine your search.
Publishing a Guide with a Topic
You get to choose where you think your guide belongs. When you select your cover photo for your guide, you’ll see a new option labeled “Choose a Topic”. Tap that button and select the topic that makes the most sense for your guide. If you’re unsure, check out a few topics to get a good idea of what’s already in them.
Adding Topics
We’ve assigned topics to most guides but if you published a guide and can’t find your how-to in a topic, we might not have added one yet! You can help us out by quickly adding a topic to your guide yourself. To do this, head to the “Me” tab on the app and tap the blue pencil to edit your guide. Right before you publish, you’ll either see the topic we’ve assigned, or an option to “Choose your Topic”. After you select the best topic for your guide, tap publish to save your changes!
We tried to include all types of guides, but if you can’t find a topic for your guide, make sure to message Snapguide Team on the app and let us know!
